Family-owned Gale Vineyards & Winery produces small-batch wines from the freshest local grapes. This vineyard also has an elegant tasting room offering wine tasting and local food pairings. The Patrick Ranch Museum, located in the heart of Durham, celebrates the region’s rich agricultural heritage through displays, artifacts, and tours.

Things to Do 

The Sierra Oro Farm Trail connects a group of vineyards and farms throughout the region, many of which are located in Durham. With a farm and wine pass, locals can visit any of the farms to pick apples or pumpkins, participate in wine tastings, or sample freshly grown olives. There are also exclusive events at the participating venues that pass holders can access. 

Nearby is the Butte Creek Country Club, one of the finest private golf clubs in the region. This course is very forgiving and perfect for golfers of all skill levels. The pristine course is lined with towering oak trees. The club also offers a driving range, putting green, and a short game facility. 

Each spring, the May Day Parade and Picnic commemorates the very best of Durham with a community-wide celebration. There are food trucks, local vendors, and children’s activities, followed by a community parade. Historic Durham Community Park is a lush green space filled with towering oaks.
